Recognizing Great Stories with Stacey Mindich ’86

Stacey Mindich ’86 is a Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning theatrical producer. She was the lead producer of the award-winning global hit “Dear Evan Hansen.” Stacey Mindich Productions has produced more than 20 plays and musicals, on and off Broadway. Prior to her career in theater, Mindich was a journalist and editor at Town & Country, Newsday, The New York Times, Savvy magazine, Self and Departures.

She will discuss her experience recognizing great stories with Aileen Gallagher, chair of the magazine, news and digital journalism department at the Newhouse School. The event will be held in the Halmi Screening Room, 141 Newhouse 3.

Leaders in Communications

Leaders in Communications is a monthly speaker series that brings media leaders, influencers and newsmakers to the Newhouse School for candid and insightful conversations with students and other guests. With a special emphasis on current trends and challenges, the series helps students keep apace of a quickly changing communications industry and provides them with a connection to the professions they will eventually lead. The series also offers valuable networking and learning opportunities, as guests visit classrooms or student organizations in addition to participating in the public conversation. The series is supported by the Hearst Speakers Fund.
