  • Professional Degree Programs
  • Academic Program
    • Our academic master's degree in media studies is ideal for students with mass media experience who want to critically examine the mass communications process. It's also an excellent foundation for the doctoral degree

      The media studies program begins in fall and is typically two years long.

  • Online
    • Newhouse's Communications@Syracuse is an online master's degree in communications. With classes taught by Newhouse faculty, the master's in communications offers students around the world the opportunity to receive the highest-quality education without relocating.

  • Executive Education
    • The communications management program, based in Newhouse's public relations department, allows working PR professionals the opportunity to earn a master's degree via an innovative distance learning format. The interdisciplinary program is intended for public relations professionals with full-time experience.

  • Doctoral Program
    • Our three-year mass communications Ph.D. program allows you to focus on excellence in teaching while pursuing your unique research goals. You will be able to dig deeper into mass communications issues and produce work that will enrich your academic scholarship as well as your students' classroom experiences.
