Internships and Jobs

Professional communications industry experience is an integral part of a Newhouse education, and the school’s Career Development Center (CDC) is a vital resource for your internship and job search.

The CDC maintains a listing of current internship opportunities, industry directories, trade magazines and an alumni database for networking and possible internship leads. CDC staff can also help you write your résumé and cover letter for internship applications.

During the fall and spring semesters, the CDC holds “Finding an Internship” seminars that provide you with tips on how to conduct proactive internship searches. The seminars include tours of the CDC and its resources.

The CDC also provides separate step-by-step guides for undergraduate and graduate students to help them navigate the process of earning credit for internships.

You can also join the CDC Newhouse Internship Group on LinkedIn, where you can network and share experiences with other students.
