Suze Carey is in charge of a hodgepodge of tasks in the Newhouse Undergraduate Advising Office—including internal transfer students, the Newhouse minor, peer advising, dean’s list and office communications—which she enjoys because working with people and being creative are her favorite things to do.
Originally from Delaware, Suze started her career in athletics, primarily as a strength coach, and is still a competitive lifter. She also enjoys activities including hiking and snowboarding. She has travelled extensively, including driving across the U.S. and backpacking (a.k.a. eating) her way around Europe.
Suze also enjoys reading, writing and asking questions in order to learn from anyone willing to share and teach. Her family is very important to her. She believes anything can be accomplished with a positive attitude and a good work ethic.
