Neil Katz is an associate professor emeritus at SU's Maxwell School of Public Communications.
After more than two decades as a faculty member and director or co-director of five conflict resolution programs at Maxwell, he left full-time teaching to have more flexibility to pursue other activities in consulting, teaching and scholarship. He continues to teach conflict resolution, negotiation, mediation and leadership classes at SU. He also teaches a course at Nova Southeastern University’s Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Katz is program manager for training and organizational consulting for the Maxwell School’s executive education programs and runs the consulting firm Dr. Neil Katz and Associates. He has worked with many prestigious public and private sector organizations throughout the United States.
Among his awards and honors are the Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Award for his career-long commitment to nonviolent conflict resolution and the principles embodied in Dr. King’s life and work.
