Dan Lombardi is a senior-level creative professional with over 30 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industries. He’s served as a copywriter/creative director/content creator at leading advertising agencies in New York and Chicago including DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett. He has created a wide range of communications from broadcast TV, print, digital and social advertising to emails, websites and company reports.
Lombardi has taught courses in creative advertising on the undergraduate and graduate level at the Newhouse School since the fall of 2020. He also serves as a writing instructor at the NYU School of Professional Studies. Lombardi has lectured extensively about the craft of writing for marketing and advertising to classes from the University of Oklahoma, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Yeshiva University and Manhattanville College, to name a few.
Lombardi holds a masters degree in communications from the Newhouse School and a bachelor of arts in English degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Lombardi has two other Syracuse graduates in the family. A son, Tommy, a 2008 graduate of the Newhouse School. And a daughter, Lisa, a 2012 graduate from the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
