Bio:

Qi Ni is a doctoral student with an interest in studying media and gender, specifically how gender manifests in media coverage about children and women in violence. For her master thesis, using textual analysis, Qi examined media representation of children in domestic violence. Going forward, Qi hopes to delve more into the absence or limited media representation regarding children and women in violence as well as how these representations vary from region to region.

Qi is inspired by the lived experience, where she learns the possibilities on how to position herself in her own research journey while exploring the complexities and multiplicities of the unknown. On most rainy and snowy days, Qi loves writing with a cup of coffee.
