Thompson quoted in Reuters story on how TV shows recover from losing a main character

Robert Thompson, trustee professor and director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture, was quoted in the Reuters story “Deaths and disputes: When the TV show must go on.”

“If you lose a main character, or someone walks out, or there is a controversy, and the fix means it is still a funny or compelling show, then most people will forget very quickly.”
