Newhouse students receive Fulbright student awards

Two Newhouse seniors were awarded 2020-21 Fulbright student awards, and one senior was selected as an alternate. The Fulbright U.S. student program funds a number of different awareds that include English teaching assistantships and study and research grants in over 140 countries. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most recipients will begin their placements in January, contingent on travel bans being lifted.

The Newhouse seniors receiving the awards were Gwendolyn Burke, a dual major in public relations in the Newhouse School and international relations at the Maxwell School and Erin Elliott, a dual major in public relations in the Newhouse School and english and textual studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Senior Stephanie Hausman, a dual major in advertising in the Newhouse School and marketing in Whitman was selected as an alternate.
