Newhouse School alumnus Drew Jordan G’14 was part of a New York Times team that won the Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting. The team was honored for a body of work exposing Russia’s shadow war in Syria, Europe and Africa.

Jordan, a motion designer with The Times, is part of the Visual Investigations team. He is a graduate of Newhouse’s graduate program in multimedia, photography and design.

“I am so humbled and grateful to work on such an insane team of reporters,” Jordan says. “I love the role I play on the team and am always in awe of the innovative investigative work they do. I can’t imagine any other path as a motion designer and animator.”

The Pulitzer jury recognized the Visual Investigations team for two video stories that proved, for the first time, that the Russian Air Force was responsible for a series of attacks on hospitals and other civilian sites in opposition-held Syria, along with other stories that report the predications of Putin’s regime.
