Beth Egan, associate professor of advertising, was quoted in the New York Times article “‘Uncle Drew’: Branding Vehicle or Feature Film? Yes.”

“It’s not that people don’t like ads; it’s that people don’t like being sold to. Millennials especially are really keen to have a relationship with brands, but that has to be a true, authentic and two-way relationship.”
