Attention alumni: Host a Newhouse student during winter break!

Deadline to participate in the annual Alumni Partnership Program is Oct. 27

The Newhouse Career Development Center invites alumni to host a current Newhouse student this winter break during the week of Jan. 6-10, 2020. This is a great opportunity to show students what is possible within your area of communications.

Hosting a student can be as simple as a day or two of letting the student "shadow" you, providing a glimpse into what a "day in the life" is like for you—or something longer (up to all five days), during which the hosted student will be able to gain real-life, hands-on experience that builds a new or developing skill set.

The primary goals of the Alumni Partnership Program are to provide students with a realistic view of what different jobs in the communications industry entail, allow them to get a better feel for the organization's culture and provide insight on how this career path may fit with their interests.

Students participate in the program on a volunteer basis for an educational experience, and are not compensated. Students are also responsible for their own housing and transportation.
