Alumnus is screenwriter on new critically acclaimed film

Michael Weber '00 also wrote "(500) Days of Summer"

Alumnus Michael H. Weber ’00 is a screenwriter on the recently-released film “The Spectacular Now.” Based on the Tim Tharp book by the same name, the film opened August 2 and is already garnering critical acclaim. Entertainment Weekly calls it a “coming-of-age movie worth watching,” and Deadline Hollywood says it’s one of "this summer’s best openings." Directed by James Ponsoldt, the film will be released nationwide next month.

Weber also wrote the hit “(500) Days of Summer.” Other credits include “Pink Panther 2” and the TV series “Friends with Benefits.”
