Pam Huling teaches graduate and undergraduate students skills necessary for forming and running a multiplatform video production business, including branding, budgeting, assessing costs, formulating profitable market strategies and marketing visual communications products, all while emphasizing promotion in a new media environment.

Bio

Huling is co-founder and chief operating officer of Blue Chalk Media, an award-winning video production and media strategy company based in Brooklyn, NY,  that produces branded content, social impact videos, educational videos and a variety of nonfiction series and projects for multiplatform distribution for clients such as The New York Times, The Weather Channel, Discovery Education, Nike, TIME, the Food Network, NPR, Bloomberg News, BBC World News, and Carnegie Corporation of New York.

Prior to Blue Chalk, she led business development at MediaStorm, an award-winning multimedia studio, and advised clients in Switzerland and New York City through Gaslight Media Consulting. She served on the Executive Board of FotoDC, a non-profit in Washington, DC, for its first five years and also founded and managed for more than 10 years two consumer cloud services focused on archiving family memories. As the director of photo services at Discovery Communications, Inc., Huling oversaw all aspects of photography for more than 100 television brands worldwide, starting as an intern and developing the department over 15 years of rapid expansion.
