Public Diplomacy and Global Communications

Globally minded students who want to build careers in public or international relations will find that our program offers an entire world of possibilities.

Our program, offered in partnership with the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, leads to a master of arts degree in public diplomacy and global communications (PDGC) and trains students to carry out public communications for governments, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the private sector.

Public diplomacy is a field that has grown out of a need for professionals who can effectively communicate with diverse national and international audiences. Cross-cultural communication presents complex challenges, and PDGC graduates go into the world with the skillsets necessary to navigate those challenges.

"I can't think of a more ideal program. It enhanced and challenged me academically but also prepared me for my current position." Jacqueline Cho '10 Jr. associate, TAF'S Center for U.S.- Korea Policy
