If you have a design-related event you wish listed please e-mail Prof. Matlock giving the event's name, purpose and location and other important information. Most events will take place in the Newhouse School and must be open to at least some Newhouse students. Many are open to the general public so please note who may attend.

BIG EVENT IS THE FEB. ANNUAL CREATIVE COMPETITION

The next big event is the annual SND creative competition that will take place on campus Feb. 17 - 21, 2006. Students enrolled in the GRA 587 class — News Design — have the opportunity to assist judges at this international design judging.

The SND judging is a once-in-a -lifetime design experience. No other event in the world offers the wealth of design concepts, discussions and first-hand exposure to why a design, graphic or photo is good or bad. To learn more about this class check the Spring 2006 class schedule when it is released in November.
