Newhouse School of Communications

Public Relations:

Students may choose between two tracks: one that leads to a career in the practice of public relations, the other to advanced study in preparation for a teaching and/or research career. Students in the latter track write a thesis instead of taking the capstone public relations course. In addition, they take a communication research methods class and a communications theory class in place of two electives.
