Eric Berman, a rising junior in the Newhouse School, spent eight weeks this summer at Bunim/Murray Productions in Los Angeles as part of the Television Academy Foundation's Internship Program.

Berman, a television, radio and film major from Scarsdale, New York, was accepted into the editing (reality) part of the program, and worked in postproduction. He says he experienced all different aspects of postproduction—including music, audio, online editing, digitization and working with editors and assistant editors. He finished off the internship doing assistant editing work for MTV’s “The Real World.”

In addition, Berman says he and other interns had the opportunity to meet and network with alumni, foundation members and others in the industry. “It's truly a remarkable opportunity, and it's a community that lasts a lifetime.”

The Television Academy Foundation’s eight-week, paid summer internship program provides college students with in-depth exposure to professional television.
