Newhouse to offer second Media Entrepreneurship Workshop in New York City

The six-week course, designed for early- and mid-career professionals, will be taught by Sean Branagan, director of Newhouse’s Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship

The Newhouse School at Syracuse University will again offer a six-week workshop on media entrepreneurship in New York City this summer. Taught by Sean Branagan, director of Newhouse’s Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship, the workshop will run May 11-June 22 at Syracuse University Fisher Center, 136 Madison Ave.

Coursework, designed for early- and mid-career professionals, will cover the basics of starting a new venture in the media industry. Some topics include timing, trends, myths, growing an idea, types of ventures and business model generation.

The workshop will be offered on Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $1,650, with a 30 percent discount for those who register by April 24.
