Ford to participate in panel on black PR history

Rochelle Ford, chair of public relations at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, will participate in a panel discussion to kick off the first-ever Black PR History Month. Sponsored in partnership with the National Black Public Relations Society, the event will be held Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Museum of Public Relations in New York City.

Additional panelists include Denise Hill, professor at Elon University; Don Singletary, adjunct professor at Baruch College; and Judith Harrison, senior vice president of diversity and inclusion at Weber Shandwick and president of PRSA Foundation.

Rick Kaiser, son of Inez Kaiser, founder of the first African American female-owned public relations agency in the United States, will be honored at the event.
