On May 20, students in the documentary film & history program at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University premiered their completed films before moving on to the final phase of the program, their internships. Two thirds of this year's class are interning with production houses in New York City. Others are working in Boulder, Colorado and Washington, D.C.

"Students take a variety of courses in Newhouse and the Maxwell School but their primary focus throughout the year is on their documentaries," says program co-director Professor Richard Breyer. Each student in the DFH program is required to produce a single, stand-alone film or one episode of a documentary series. This "reel" contains excerpts from those films, which premiered in May.

The unabridged versions are available by contacting Professor Breyer at rlbreyer@syr.edu.
