Presented by the Bandier Program

Michael George, an artist manager at SB Projects, is responsible for diversifying SB Projects’ management portfolio into the ever-expanding Dance Music genre. George joined SB Projects in 2013, when Scooter Braun gambled on his keen eye for talent and sent him to Miami Music Week where he discovered EDM breakout star Martin Garrix. Shortly after, George signed Garrix to SB Projects in conjunction with Music All Stars Management. Garrix’s single “Animals” hit No.1 in the UK, was the highest charting instrumental at Top 40 radio in the last 20 years, and has gone on to sell over 1.4 million copies in the US. In 2014, InTheMix named George one of the “50 Most Powerful People in Dance Music.” George additionally continued to elevate Garrix’s career in 2015, in developing and maintaining major brand partnerships including 7Up and Tag Heuer.

George graduated from Syracuse University’s Bandier Program for the Music and Entertainment Industry in 2011. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

The Soyars Leadership Lecture Series is presented by the Bandier Program in the Newhouse School and the Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
