Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, 12 a.m. I3 Center, 432 Newhouse 3

Jennifer Jacobs, national political reporter for Bloomberg, will speak at the Newhouse School on Monday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. in the I3 Center, 432 Newhouse 3.

Jacobs previously served as chief political reporter for The Des Moines Register. She was also a reporter for the Syracuse Post-Standard and the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier in Iowa. She covered the 2016 Presidential campaign for Bloomberg.

Politico named her one of 16 break-out media stars of 2016, writing: "Jacobs was already an established force in Iowa before joining Bloomberg Politics earlier this year. After 12 years with the Des Moines Register, Jacobs was one of the preeminent reporters for that states’ important presidential caucuses, regularly breaking news about campaigns (such as troubles in Ben Carson’s campaign) that reverberated across the political spectrum. At Bloomberg, Jacobs was part of a team that regularly broke news about the Trump campaign, from his plans for the conventions, campaign hires, campaign defections to campaign conference calls on strategy."
