Bio:

Wasim Ahmad is a doctoral candidate in mass communications at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He is currently an assistant teaching professor instructing journalism at Quinnipiac University. Wasim has worked for newspapers in Minnesota, Florida and upstate New York, and has previously taught Multimedia Journalism at Stony Brook University and Syracuse University.

Ahmad, an experienced photographer, previously worked as a Technical Specialist at Canon USA, and is also a senior staff writer at Fstoppers.com.

Ahmad’s work has been recognized by the Freedom Forum and the Center for Innovation in College Media. The award he's most proud of is the 2013 "Seniors' Choice" Award for best professor in the School of Journalism at Stony Brook University.
