Timi Komonibo

Timi Komonibo G'15 teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the communications department. Her classes largely explore themes of diversity, representation and identity.

Komonibo is the former the associate director of recruitment and diversity for the Newhouse School. Her background also includes experience in the education sector and the nonprofit arena.

Outside of teaching, Komonibo is also a certified life and leadership coach. Through her life consultancy practice, The Pivot Strategists, she empowers early and mid-career professionals to successfully navigate pivots in their personal and professional lives. Her work with companies enables them to train their next Generation leaders. She helps clients discover their natural talents, strengths and their Zone of Genius.

Komonibo earned a master's degree in public relations and international relations through the public diplomacy program at the Newhouse School and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She completed her undergraduate degree in communications studies and African Diaspora Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
