Suzanne LysakAssociate Professor Broadcast & Digital Journalism
Suzanne Lysak spent more than 20 years in broadcast journalism, working as a radio reporter, TV news reporter and anchor, TV news producer, executive producer and news director.
She has worked in various markets, including a five-year stint at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, where she received two Los Angeles Emmy Awards for producing breaking news coverage and as producer of the station's 5 to 7 a.m. newscast.
Earlier in her career, Lysak received a national award from American Women in Radio and Television for her reporting of a special TV news series titled "Private Battles: Women in the Military."
She received the Meredith Teaching Recognition Award from Syracuse University in 2012, and was named to Crain's NewPro's list of notable journalism educators in 2017.
She was previously an assistant professor of broadcast journalism at Virginia Commonwealth University and an adjunct at the University of Southern California.
