SooYeon Hong

Soo Yeon Hong is a professor, researcher, graphic designer and fiction writer with expertise in public relations. She started her career as a marketer for LG and graphic designer at Time and Health magazines.

She has published peer-reviewed research articles in the Journal of Public Relations Research and Public Relation Review.

Her short story “Dandelions,” which was published in Santa Monica Review, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She was awarded the 2012 Saul Bellow Prize in Fiction and was the finalist for the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship in Fiction, 2014.

At the Newhouse School, Hong focuses on multimedia storytelling and graphic design, teaching undergraduate and graduate students.
