Renée Stevens

Assistant Professor Multimedia Photography & Design Also teaches in: Graphic Design Communications Photography Photography Communications

Renée Stevens is an award-winning graphic designer, photographer, filmographer, multimedia producer and educator. Her main drive is her passion for great collaborative work among many fields of visual communication. She splits her time between her two studios (R studio, a graphic and interactive design studio and i&us photography, a documentary photography studio) and teaching. She is also an exclusive designer for Minted, where she has had the opportunity to teach typography to designers around the world. She also serves as a board member of AIGA Upstate New York serving as a coordinator of student groups.

In November of 2014 she released a documentary, "Building a Family." This film inspired her to help document and tell the stories of people preparing for adoption. After experiencing this process first hand, she was inspired to contribute her skills to help bring families together through the adoption process.

Stevens has been recognized nationally and internationally for her work across different media, including an American Graphic Design Award in November 2014, but her proudest achievements happen every day through the work of her students.
