Michael Meath

Assistant Teaching Professor Public Relations Also teaches in: Communications Management

After serving as an adjunct professor at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and McMaster University in Ontario for several years, Michael Meath now serves as a full time visiting assistant teaching professor for ethics, crisis communications and public relations management at Newhouse.

He is the founder and president of Fallingbrook Associates, a crisis communications and reputation risk management firm. He previously led Strategic Communications, a public relations, government relations, crisis communications and strategic planning agency with offices in Syracuse and Washington, DC; and served as vice president of business development and public affairs for Agway Energy Products. He is an alumnus of the Newhouse School’s master’s in communications management program, and serves as an instructor for the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, and the Hubert M. Humphrey Fellowship Program at the Maxwell School. He is an FAA certified pilot.
