Andy Robinson is the general manager for the Orange Television Network (OTN), the student campus cable television station at Syracuse University. As an adjunct, Andy teaches television production courses.
Prior to arriving at SU in 2004 to build and launch OTN, Andy spent 27 years in television production as an award-winning producer, director, editor, manager and director of photography. His experience includes working at commercial and cable television channels and production and post-production companies. He worked on projects for HGTV, The History Channel, Comedy Central and PBS, among others. Clients have included Fuji Film, Bristol-Myers Squibb, NCAA, Welch-Allyn, Carrier Corporation, Laubach Literacy and United Parcel Service.
Since 1982, he has worked as a director, camera operator and videotape/EVS replay operator for ESPN, CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC and Time Warner, among others, covering professional and collegiate sporting events.
Andy is a regular contributor to the Broadcast Education Association and the Association of Higher Education Campus Television Administrators. In 2007 he was selected to attend the faculty seminar sponsored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation in Los Angeles.
