Advertising majors who elect the creative track go on to become front-line advertising creators - the people who come up with the concepts for advertising, the copy, and the design for the advertisements themselves. Management track majors become assistant media buyers, assistant account executives, or assistant account planners. Graduates find jobs in both traditional and interactive advertising agencies, media organizations such as television stations or magazines, or marketing firms. All students are assisted not only by the Newhouse Career Development Center but by a wide network of advertising alumni who hold leadership positions with the nation's most respected and influential advertising firms. Alumni are eager to help new graduates in their job search and often become valuable and seasoned mentors.
