Scheduling a Meeting

Two students talk at the front desk of the Newhouse CDC.

To get a job or internship, you need to write a résumé. How do you know what to list or leave out?  The CDC staff can give you feedback on your résumé and cover letter, help you plan your job search strategy and point you to helpful networking resources. You can also sign up for a one-on-one advising session; attend a career skills seminar; find employment and internship opportunities and connect with Newhouse alumni.

Services we offer

One-to-one advising appointments

You can meet with a CDC staff member to discuss career-related issues, including (but not limited to) finding internships and employment, interview etiquette, résumé and cover letter-writing, and networking. To make an appointment, please sign up in person at the CDC, 313 Newhouse 3.

Resume and cover letter review services

CDC staff can review your written career materials, including cover letters, résumés and networking correspondence. Once you have taken the Résumé and Cover Letter Seminar and Job Hunt Marathon Seminar (see Events and Speakers for seminar schedules), you can use our drop-off service—leave your materials with us for review, and they will be ready for pick-up within two business days.
