Founded in 1991, the Tina Press and David Rubin Career Development Center (CDC) provides students and alumni with the essential skills, services and resources necessary to conduct a successful, proactive job or internship search and find career success. Located at 313 Newhouse 3, the office offers a comfortable place to research communications careers, find job and internship opportunities and learn how to network.
Students should stop by the CDC to make appointments for one-on-one advising sessions and to discuss career-related issues such as finding internships and jobs, interview etiquette, résumé and cover letter writing and networking. Current semester seminar schedules and sign-up sheets are also available.
Our facilities include internship and alumni databases, career guides, job and internship posting boards and tipsheets on writing standout cover letters and résumés, job interview etiquette and how to effectively network.
Join us for a cup of coffee or tea during our Sip 'N Study and Office Hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
