Andy Robinson is the General Manager for the Orange Television Network, the student campus cable television station at Syracuse University. As an adjunct professor, Robinson teaches television production courses.

Prior to arriving at Syracuse University in 2004 to build and launch OTN, Robinson spent 27 years in television production as an award-winning producer, director, editor, manager and director of photography. His experience includes working at commercial and cable television channels and production and post-production companies. Robinson worked on projects for HGTV, The History Channel, Comedy Central and PBS among others. Clients have included Fuji Film, Bristol-Myers Squibb, NCAA, Welch-Allyn, Carrier Corporation, Laubach Literacy and United Parcel Service.

Since 1982 he has worked as a director, camera operator and videotape/EVS replay technician for ESPN, Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS among others covering professional and collegiate sporting events.

Robinson is a regular contributor to the Broadcast Educator’s Association annual meetings as well as the Association of Higher Education Campus Television Association. In 2007 he was selected to attend the Faculty Seminar sponsored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation in Los Angeles.

When not at work Andy can be found in his home practicing jazz on his tenor saxophone, visiting family in Central New York, working around his DeWitt home and being a husband and father.
