Robert M. Kucharavy has over 30 years of communications experience in corporate, agency and non-for-profit public relations. He has a strong background in media and community relations, agency management, public relations teaching and training, strategic planning and facilitation.

Prior to coming to the Newhouse School, he was vice president of business-to-business accounts at Weber Shandwick Worldwide in Seattle, working on such accounts as Hewlett-Packard and Avaya.

He spent 12 years in high tech corporate public relations in Massachusetts and Chicago for a corporation now part of Hewlett-Packard. In his last position with the corporation, he was responsible for an aggressive media and community relations program for a 30-state area of the United States.

A native of Syracuse, he enjoys cooking and gardening.
