Professor Masiclat has professional experience as an interface designer, Macintosh programmer, graphic designer and art director. He teaches World Wide Web and interactive media design, introductory graphic design and typography

He is Director of the Graduate program in New Media, and co-Director of the Center for Digital Convergence, a joint center with the College of Information Studies (IST).
