Kathryn Lee has more than 25 years of experience in broadcasting and public relations, most recently as speechwriter to Kenneth A. Shaw, the former chancellor of Syracuse University. In her early career, she was the host for two classical music radio stations in Syracuse. She went on to serve as a public relations officer for an arts organization, two area hospitals, and Syracuse University. She has edited two books and co-written several articles in the area of higher education. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate students in the Public Relations Department and serves as a communications professional for the Newhouse School. She earned a bachelor's degree in English at Stetson University in Deland, Florida and a master's degree in higher education administration at Syracuse University.
