Ogilvy & Mather’s Annemarie Schoepfer '98 to visit the Newhouse School

November 5, 2009

Annemarie Schoepfer ’98, senior partner and group planning director at the international advertising, marketing and public relations agency Ogilvy & Mather, will visit Syracuse the Newhouse School on Thursday, November 5. She will speak at 6 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3. Her talk is free and open to the public. Parking is available in SU pay lots. Her talk will be covered live at http://newhousebeta.syr.edu.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the Newhouse School in 1998, Schoepfer began her career as a planner at kirshenbaum bond senecal + partners, where she did everything from getting her cholesterol tested and visiting millionaires in their homes to sifting through the century-old archives of a coffee company to glean insights and inspiration—all in the name of creating great advertising.

She left to attend Teacher’s College of Columbia University, where she earned a master’s in arts administration in 2003. That same year, she joined Ogilvy. In her current position, she has traveled the world and worked on topics as the power of membership; real beauty; what makes a “best-run business”; men’s shaving and grooming habits; the emotional connection we have with music; and the allure of travel rewards programs.

For more information about her talk, contact Ed Russell at (315) 443-4054 or edrussel@syr.edu.
