The newest addition to the Newhouse Communications Complex, Newhouse 3, is slated to receive an "Award of Excellence" from the New York State American Institute of Architects. Newhouse 3 architect Tomas Rossant announced the honor July 20th.
Rossant is a partner at Polshek Partnership Architects, the firm that oversaw Newhouse 3's design and construction. The third Newhouse building was dedicated on September 19, 2007.
Newhouse 3, its architects and construction firm have won other design and construction awards as well, including the 2009 SARA Award of Excellence from the Society of American Registered Architects and a Best of 2007 construction award from New York Construction Magazine.
The AIA awards ceremony is scheduled for September 24, 2009 in Rochester, NY.
