CURRICULUM
| The curriculum
was developed on the basis of a literature review, interviews
with top public relations managers, and national surveys
of public relations practitioners. It aims to promote |
- expanded knowledge in public relations
theory, research, and management;
- better understanding of strategic
planning, counseling, and decision-making processes;
- a firmer grasp of business, finance,
and marketing;
- leadership, interpersonal, and small
group communications skills

FORMAT
Public Relations Core: (4 required courses;
12 credits)
Management Core: (4 required courses; 12 credits)
Electives
(2-3 courses; 6-9 credits)
Cumulative Experience
(3-credit professional project or 6-credit thesis)
- Depending on what cumulative experience
option the student chooses, the student will either take
three electives (in conjunction with the professional project
option) or two electives (in conjunction with the thesis
option)
