Professional Advancement
The effective public relations professional of the future will need to go beyond established, traditional communications skills. To do so, he or she must acquire knowledge and experience in strategic planning, issue analysis, research, finance and budgeting, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution.

The Independent Study Degree Program in Communications Management provides the professional with at least five years of experience in public relations or a related field an opportunity to achieve mastery of these areas while advancing as a decision maker, manager, and counselor in a challenging global economy.
