Organizations need experienced communicators to effectively convey their messages. If you're interested in a public relations career, you'll learn how to create those messages and organize strategic plans to connect with your audience.
Newhouse's internationally recognized public relations program is one of the few in the U.S. that offers undergraduate, graduate and mid-career level (see Communications Management) PR education. In our 13-month professional master's program, you will study the theory, concepts, processes and practices of public relations. You'll complete a professional internship and will be fully prepared to practice in today's quickly evolving digital world. Or, if you choose the thesis track, you will be well prepared to pursue a doctoral degree and a career in teaching and research.
Typically, our incoming graduate students are recent college graduates planning on entering the PR field. We also enroll public relations practitioners with fewer than five years of experience who are looking to renew and refine their skills.
