Whether you're interested in making documentaries or teaching history/film production, Newhouse's documentary film and history program offers what you need to pursue your future career.
This joint master's degree-offered in partnership with the Maxwell School-gives you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of history while gaining practical filmmaking skills. You and your classmates prepare to work as writers, editors, directors, designers and executives at independent production companies and organizations such as The History Channel, The Learning Channel and public broadcasting stations. Some of our graduates also go on to teach media and history.
