Broadcast and Digital Journalism
Working on-air or behind the scenes, our alumni are shaping the way we see and process news.
Our graduates are well-represented among news and sports reporters and anchors. Newhouse broadcast and digital journalism graduates also prominently fill producing jobs.
Additionally, many work as backpack or multi-media journalists (MMJs) and web producers.
When we asked our former masters students for permission to include them on our Alumni page, a typical response was, “I learned so much…and I look forward to any opportunity to show my appreciation.”

ABOUT NEWHOUSE: When I think back to what I liked most about my time at Syracuse, it has to be how closely it mirrored my own path in “the real world”. I was able to face whatever challenge was at hand. I had already been through all of it before- at Newhouse. Though the graduate program was short, there was not a single element of working in the news industry that was left uncovered.
